I am a Toronto lawyer practising in the areas of immigration, administrative law and professional licensing and discipline.My immigration practice focuses on permanent residence applications under federal and provincial economic programs, all types of business immigration, applications for sponsorship under the family class and temporary residence applications. My professional discipline practice includes the representation of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants in complaint and discipline proceedings before their regulatory council.I received an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University, where I also completed a Master's and Bachelor's in Sociology and Political Science. I am also a part-time instructor in a number of immigration consulting courses and a regular contributor to several publications on matters dealing with immigration and refugee law.As a native Colombian, I am fully fluent in Spanish and have a working proficiency in French. I am also an active member of the Toronto Hispanic community and past President of the Canadian Colombian Professional Association.Outside of work I enjoy travel, tennis, art, running and wine tasting.
