James Embrey is a Partner in our office in Nashville, Tennessee, and he focuses his litigation practice on General Liability, Insurance Coverage, Products Liability, Professional Malpractice and Ethics, Medical Malpractice and Transportation.Jim has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies as well as individual professionals as a trial lawyer, and honed his legal craft while working in-house as a Managing Counsel and General Counsel for major insurance corporations. This dual experience gives Jim unprecedented insight and knowledge to anticipate the needs of his clients and provide exceptional and effective service. His clients include trucking carriers and insurers, drug and medical device companies, business owners, manufacturers, physicians and hospitals. He represents clients in state and federal court actions as well as arbitrates matters under the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He is also experienced in defending professional licensure actions, including defending medical physicians in Department of Health investigations. Jim is also peer rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.Earlier in his career, Jim served as an Airborne Infantryman in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and was awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for his service in the Middle East. He enjoys golfing, reading and spending time with family.
