Pedro Sousa Uva is an international dispute resolution Lawyer with over 15 years experience. He is the Founding Partner of SUA – Sousa Uva Arbitration & Conflict Management, law firm with offices in Munich, Germany.He was Of-Counsel at pbbr until July 2020. Pedro headed the Arbitration and Litigation Department of the referred firm in Lisbon until October 2018. Before leading the practice group at pbbr, Pedro worked as an Associate Lawyer in arbitration and litigation at law firms Miranda and Abreu. Pedro seconded at Wilmer Hale in London at the Firm's International Arbitration Group. He holds a Masters Decree in Law (LLM) in Comparative International Dispute Resolution of Queen Mary University of London. Pedro co-chaired APA Sub 40 (under forty section of the Portuguese Arbitration Association) from 2013 until July 2018 and he was a member of APA’s Ethics Committee. He is Founder and Director of YAR – Young Arbitration Review (www.yar.pt), the first independent international arbitration review published solely in English and distributed worldwide.
