Reto Marghitola is an attorney at law at Marghitola Dispute Resolution. His main areas of practice include Commercial Litigation, International and Domestic Arbitration, Inheritance Law, Debt Enforcement and Insolvency Law as well as White Collar Crime. He regularly represents companies and individuals before state courts and arbitral tribunals.
Reto Marghitola studied law in Geneva, Zurich and Bologna and finished his studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva as the Top of the Class of 2007. He was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 2009. He further received the Prof. Walther Hug Award 2016 for his Ph.D. thesis on "Document Production in International Arbitration" (Kluwer Law International 2015). He is co-editor of the Practioner's Handbook on Swiss Civil Procedure. Reto Marghitola worked as an attorney at law in the litigation and arbitration teams of Homburger AG in Zurich and VISCHER AG in Basel. Additionally, he served as in-house counsel at Novartis International AG (Group Litigation). He further worked as an attorney at law at law firms in Zurich.
Reto Marghitola is registered with the attorney’s register of the Canton of Zurich and admitted to all Swiss courts and authorities. He is a member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA).
