As an international civil and commercial accredited mediator and arbitrator, I can draw on 20 years of experience working in private practice, the private sector, for governments, and as an international civil servant.
I gained my extensive dispute resolution expertise in both civil and common law jurisdictions, resulting in a unique competency. Now, I combine this competency with my deep understanding of the dispute resolution needs of internationally operating businesses, governments, and international organisations.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) since 2002. In 2003, I acted for the first time as (co-) mediation advocate representing the Queensland government. Since then, I have advised parties, counsels, governments, and international organisations on many occasions on, and in, a wide range of mediation, arbitration, and litigation issues and matters.
A national of Australia and Germany, I am fully bilingual (English and German) and act as an international accredited mediator and arbitrator using both languages.
I am also skilled in offering my services online, having trained in online dispute resolution processes (mediation and arbitration). I am a member of the International Council for Online Dispute Resolution (US).
I obtained legal and post-graduate qualifications in Germany and Australia, including in international commercial and sports arbitration. I lecture at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna and am a widely published author who gladly shares his experience and insights.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), the Centrale für Mediation (GER) and the ADR International Register (NL).
